Brian Moore speech

Brian Moore is a former magazine editor and sports opinion writer/blogger/columnist. A devoted husband and father of five children, his friends and family call him Bri or BC.

Runner-up of FoxSports.com’s 2006 “Next Great Sportswriter II” contest, Moore writes from the heart. Perhaps due to his B.A. in History, or due to the inordinate amount of trips taken from childhood through present, he has a strange obsession with the planning, development and construction of Walt Disney World – past, present and future. For reasons unknown, Bri enjoys watching and following professional surfing.

Bri enjoys looking at life, sports, society, culture and politics from all possible angles, often noticing the truth lies somewhere in the shades of gray all situations produce. In other words, he is an over-thinker.

“We’re all looking to make sense of what we see in our world every day,” says Moore. “I enjoy the attempt at finding a deeper understanding of our American culture and society, through the prism of sports, pop culture and media.”

Recommendations from BC: “My Son, My Son” by Howard Spring, anything from George Orwell, Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Simmons and the late Ralph Wiley.

His views are not reflective of his employer, or, more importantly, his wife and children.
